Cleveland Glenville Aundrey Walker Favors Ohio State With the strong ties between Ohio State and Cleveland Glenville, most Buckeye fans count on at least one Tarblooder coming to Columbus each year if not two or three. This year there are three Glenville Seniors that have Ohio State offers including offensive lineman Aundrey Walker, linebacker Andre Sturdivant, and wide receiver Shane Wynn. Of the three, Walker has expressed the most desire to be a Buckeye in 2011. By Steve Patterson Aundrey Walker is a 6’5” 355 lbs lineman that is rated the 15th best nationally at his position by Rivals.com. Consider the 6th best in the State of Ohio and a four star prospect, Walker has offers from most of the Big Ten plus NC State, Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, and West Virginia. He is being recruited by Taver Johnson for Ohio State. He is considered to be exceptionally strong yet having quickness for a big man. Losing a few pounds will put him at the perfect weight to play as a freshman wherever he decides to play college football. Most likely to play right tackle or one of the guard positions at the next level, Walker excels at run blocking. Walker visited Ohio State for the Miami game early this season along with three other Cleveland Glenville recruits. Along with Walker, Sturdivant, and Wynn was Cardale Jones, a quarterback prospect that has not been offered by Ohio State. All the recruits came away from the game impressed with the atmosphere in Ohio State during the game. Some rumors have surfaced that all four players want to attend the same school at the next level but finding such a school remains difficult. Walker hasn’t taken any officials visits and will most likely wait until the final month of the recruiting period before declaring for a school. |
