Chase Farris - Elyria, OH

OSU can get ready for Chase Farris in 2011 as a new recruit for the football season. Right now, he hails from Elyria, OH, and he weighs in at 265 pounds at 6'6". To date, he has received more than 40 offers, but he officially committed to the scholarship from Ohio State on March 16 of this year.

Farris felt flattered by all of the scholarship offers extended to him, but he was committed to OSU overall. His very first offer came from Duke University, but by the time that he heard from Ohio State, he felt that it was the perfect choice to make. This lineman has recently been pulled into the spotlight with numerous offers from schools all over the country, though he has settled on OSU after recently visiting their campus.

Fans of OSU can expect the best from Farris since he is a strong athlete that uses both agility and speed, while being able to bench over 300 pounds. Since he has been recruited as a defensive end, it may be in his best interest to add more weight to move to defensive tackle. This versatility will suit him well, in addition to his confirmed impressive speed on the field.
