Seth Betancourt dominates on the offensive line at the high school level and recently told us about his ability on the field. "My best attributes as a football player would probably be my footwork and leadership." he said.

Team Player

Betancourt is a team player as much as an individual leader on the team. "The highlight of my high school career would be when we won at parkland in week 1 this past season." He said about an early victory this past season. "We were down 10-0 and we came back and won. The team just played together and the emotion during the game was incredible." He had a great season overall with a large number of pancakes. "I had around 110 knockdown blocks last season."

Scholarship Offers

Recruited really took off for Betancourt this past year with Penn State and Rutgers both making scholarship offers in addition to Connecticut, Duke, Temple, Virginia and West Virginia. And he has had the opportunity to make two recruiting visits. "I've seen Penn State and Rutgers and I love both. The coaches from both schools are great guys and the facilities are unbelievable."

College Selection

When he makes a college selection he'll be looking for early playing time and the quality of the coaching staff. "I'm looking for a college program with good people and a place where I'll get a chance to play early." he explained about his decision making process. "A lot of schools have shown interest at this point,I've heard from PSU, Rutgers, Alabama, Florida State, BC, West Virginia, LSU, Ole Miss, and a lot others."

With all the offers, Betancourt wants to consider all his options. "I honestly don't really know. I'm just soaking in information right now and trying to find the best fit for me. Every school has things I love and they're all different." he said. He also dismisses reports that he favors Penn State and Rutgers at this time. "I don't really have any favorite schools, I'm just blessed that schools and coaches consider me to be such a great player, it means the world to me they have no idea."
