Safety Chad Hagan Considers Ohio State Offer

With early offers from a number of Big 10 and MAC schools, nine in total, Pennsylvania defensive back prospect Chad Hagan is considering another visit to Ohio State in the near future. With Luke Fickell recruiting him well and the Buckeyes among the four Big 10 offers Hagan has, he plans to be on campus one more time before his preseason practice schedule begins in August.

Chad Hagan is a big 6’2” 225lbs defensive back with 4.45 speed out of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania that has been high on Ohio State’s list since early in the recruiting process, receiving an offer at the end of May. Hagan returns the enthusiasm with his level of interest in the Buckeyes after nearly committing to them on a number of occasions. Hagan is hoping to hold out to make a number of official visits, including visits to Michigan and Wisconsin, his other favorites.

At Ohio State, Hagan is a fan of the game-day atmosphere and of the winning tradition the Buckeyes hold. But other schools are pushing hard for Hagan including Wisconsin who is talking to him about playing running back, a position only 2 schools have expressed interest in.

Hagan has taken the summer off from recruiting which has reduced the attention he has received from new schools. But he feels the time away has allowed him to focus on his upcoming season, getting bigger, and maintaining his speed. Once he reaches his desired weight while remaining sub 4.5 in the 40 yard dash, he plans to resume his recruiting visits.
