Jamarco Jones And Ohio State Recruiting

Jamarco Jones And Ohio State Recruiting

In a year when Ohio State recruiting has done an excellent job re-filling their cupboard of talented prospects, there may be yet another crown jewel to add to the arsenal.  Jamarco Jones, one of the highest-rated offensive line players, coming from Chicago Illinois, announced that the Ohio State Buckeyes were still in his "final four", competing against Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame for his services.  Jones, a 6'5 285 offensive lineman, is considered a four-star prospect and would be an excellent addition to any division one NCAA football squad.  His decision to play for a Big Ten team (which one, we are not sure yet) indicates a desire to stay closer to home, having played for De La Salle high school in Illinois.

Kyle Berger And Ohio State Football

Kyle Berger And Ohio State Football

The rich get richer as the Big 10 NCAA powerhouse Ohio State football program landed one of the most vaunted high school prospects in the nation in Kyle Berger.  Berger, a linebacker from St. Ignatius high school, committed to the 2014 recruiting class for OSU.  Why is Berger so highly regarded?  At six foot three and two hundred and five pounds, he is a bit undersized in comparison to most NCAA linebackers, though with two years on the clock he has plenty of time to bulk up.  Though his size may not be all that impressive, he was considered the sixth best football prospect in the state of Ohio, making his commitment to the Ohio State football program a huge boost to their in-state commitments.

Ohio State Football: Sam Hubbard Offers Commitment To Buckeyes

Ohio State Football: Sam Hubbard Offers Commitment To Buckeyes

According to Doug Lesmerises of The Cleveland Plain Dealer and numerous recruiting websites, Sam Hubbard has offered his commitment to the Buckeyes for the Ohio State Football. He later confirmed this oral commitment through an announcement on Twitter last Friday night. The Four Star recruit withdrew his commitment to play for the University of Notre Dame, where he had previously offered his commitment to be a part of the Fighting Irish's NCAA lacrosse team. His decision not to continue with Notre Dame can be linked to the numerous offers the 6'66 Cincinnati safety has received from schools like Stanford, Michigan State, Miami, and Louisville. The 247Sports.com reports that he has received more than 10 offers for scholarship since February 26.

2013 Defensive End Joe Jones Talks Interests

2013 Defensive End Joe Jones Talks Interests

We recently spoke with Joe Jones, a 2013 defensive end from Hollywood Florida Chaminade Madonna. Rivals.com rates him a 2 star recruit for the 2013 class. The 6’4” 232 lbs. defensive line player has offers from Idaho and UTSA where Eric Roark has been recruiting him. We will have to see if he is able to get on a team prior to the beginning of the 2013 season in the fall.

We began by asking Jones what are the skills that set him apart on the field and what were the highlights of his high school career. “My best attributes are my size, speed coming off the edge and my knowledge of the game. I've learned so much in 2 years its scary. The highlight of my high school career was a game against Glades Day and all-world running back Kevin Taylor who is a UF commit, I had 17 tackles that game.”
