Latwan Anderson Finally With a Buckeye Offer Cleveland Glenville has been a pipeline high school to Ohio State for the best athletes in the program since Jim Tressel took over the Buckeyes in Columbus. Very few Tarblooders with offers from Ohio State have gone elsewhere. 2010 was going to a year when only one Glenville player received an Ohio State offer until last night. Film: Latwan Anderson Junior Highlights By Steve Patterson Christian Bryant has been a long time lean towards the Buckeyes with an offer in hand since early in the recruiting process. But his teammate and defensive backfield partner, Latwan Anderson did not get an OSU offer until last night prior to their night game. This lack an offer has bothered many Buckeye fans as Anderson is rated higher by many of the recruiting services. Anderson recently narrowed his list of colleges down to six and OSU might have been left out if not for the offer. Included in the list are Ohio State, West Virginia, Georgia, Miami, Florida and Cincinnati. The Bear Cats of Cincinnati have really stepped up their recruiting in the Buckeye state as of late with their improved performance on the field. Ted Ginn Sr, the Head Coach at Cleveland Glenville, is good friends with the members of the coaching staff at Ohio State and is often able to calm a players fears about a late offer and sway the recruit to Ohio State with the aid of current Buckeyes that came through Glenville. Anderson is reportedly quite excited about the offer and may follow his teammate Bryant to Ohio State when recruits sign letters of intent in February. |
