Johnson will continue to take visits including one to USC in January and one to Florida. Heading west to play football is possible but unlikely according to sources close to the situation. It will most likely come down to either Florida or Ohio State for Johnson. Florida isn’t in great need of a linebacker for 2013 the way that Ohio State is, making Meyer’s pursuit even more logical.
Ohio State coaches are hitting the recruiting trail this week after the season ended in perfect (12-0) fashion over the weekend against Michigan. Stan Drayton was in Cleveland visiting Glenville prospects LB Christopher Worley, Marshon Lattimore and Marcelys Jones. Mike Vrabel went to see Clifton Garrett at Plainfield High School. Ed Warinner is in New Jersey to see OL Quenton Nelson while Luke Fickell is visiting another Florida committed linebacker in James Hearns.
