Evan Lisle–Centerville Ohio Offensive Lineman

Evan Lisle is a 6’6” offensive tackle from Centerville High School in Centerville Ohio who recently joined the Ohio State 2013 recruiting class. A member of the Rivals.com Top 250 nationally, Lisle has the ability to be a long-term starter for the Buckeyes at either tackle position on the offensive line. Also considered the 5th best player overall in the State of Ohio for 2013, he will be attending the Army All American Bowl along with Ohio State recruits Eli Woodard, Jalin Marshall, and Cameron Burrows.

We asked Lisle recently about his ability on the field and felt his feet and athleticism stood out. “I think I am a violent player with pretty good feet and athleticism. Those would probably be my best attributes.“ he explained to us.

He also told us about his highlight game against Wayne in 2011. “I can think of a lot of highlights [from my high school career], but I guess the one that sticks out would be when I got the single game knockdown record (18) against Wayne (our rival) last year.“

Recruiting picked up quickly for Lisle when coaches began to focus on their 2013 classes. “I visited Cincinnati a couple of times, Northwestern a couple of times, Notre Dame twice and Georgia Tech. And of course Ohio State a number of times. I enjoyed all the visits and liked the coaches of each school.” He reported to us about his recruiting schedule.

“I was looking for a great school and a great football program with a great history. Each school that recruited me had their strong points. Some of the programs were better academically, some were known mainly for their football programs. I really liked the choices that I had.” It was a tough decision for him with the great options that he had including Alabama, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ohio State.

But the home state school was his selection. “I loved Ohio State. I was very impressed with how they stressed winning in the classroom and on the field. They have a great support staff academically. I really like the coaches and I totally buy into Urban Meyer's plans for the future. I feel like I will have it all at Ohio State. I believe we will play for a National Championship while I am there.”
