A star recruit nationally and the top recruit in Ohio normally doesn’t say that academics are what set his college selection apart, but Taft High School defensive end Adolphus Washington stated this recently to a number of news outlets. He hopes to make it to the NFL first but his plan after football includes becoming a nurse. In regard to his recruitment and friendship with Taft standout Dwayne Standford, Washington still hopes that his long time friend and teammate will change his oral commitment to Oregon and becomes a Buckeye.
He hopes to play for Urban Meyer at Ohio State and doesn’t feel that the coaching situation has any affect on his decision. Early this coming week an announcement is expected that Meyer will take over the Buckeyes for the next 7 years at an estimated $40 million total in compensation.
