A last minute trip to Eugene Oregon was what it took for Standford to make up his mind. The 6’5” 185 lbs receiver is considered the seventh best 2012 recruit in the state of Ohio and the 22nd best recruit at his position nationally, according to Rivals.com. The facilities and the game atmosphere in Oregon set them apart from the other schools. Oregon looks to use Standford right away when he arrives.
Washington on the other hand has had his mind made up for some time after an official visit to Columbus. He hopes Urban Meyer will be the head coach when he arrives in 2012. He could get a chance to play right away as the Buckeye defensive line is losing a number of seniors this year. He liked Ohio State for all the things that the school provides out side of and in addition to football.
