Where Will Derrick Nnadi Land
Ever since 2 time National champ winning coach Urban Meyer landed on the campus in Columbus, Ohio, his recruiting efforts have been quite fruitful. After going undefeated last year, the only thing that kept the Buckeyes from a national championship appearance was an NCAA issued bowl ban.
Now that Ohio State football seems to back to its dominating recruiting, they've got their targets focused on a 6'1", 300 pound DT from Virginia Beach, VA. Derrick Nnadi has offers from several, major programs but he has narrowed his decision down to Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Florida State and Penn State.
Though the young man hasn't made anything official as of yet, Virginia Tech is believed to be his first choice because it's in his home state. Derrick plans on visiting all 4 schools before he makes a commitment which gives Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher a chance to impress the young man. FSU's program was built on defense and their top 10 ranking and complete domination of opponents thus far may be enough to change Nnadi's mind.
Penn State's football team is still in a state of disarray after their recent troubles but the news for their program hasn't been all bad. The NCAA has agreed to give the prestigious university back its scholarships after having all but banned Penn State from playing at all. But even this may not be enough to lure Nnadi away from Virginia Tech.
Only time will tell where Derrick will attend school. He certainly has his hands full as he weighs his options. Fortunately, national signing day is still 5 months on February 5 2014 away so Derrick has plenty of time to make the right decision.
