Big news came Wednesday when 2017 Ohio State target Cam Akers released his Top 10 commitment picks on his Twitter account. Ohio State made the decorated list, which was fully loaded with impressive football teams. It is now clear that the Buckeyes will battle fierce competition in the race to sign the former University of Alabama commitment. Other than Ohio State, Akers also listed Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, California, Georgia, Michigan, Ole Miss, LSU, and Tennessee in his Top 10.

At 5'11" and 212 pounds, Akers is currently ranked as the No. 2 RB in the nation. The Clinton, Miss. native will return to Columbus again next month during his tour of summer visits to several other programs. It is critical that the Bucks impress Akers during his next visit; the student athlete himself has revealed that Ohio State will need to distance itself from other top notch football programs.
