2017 Ohio State Commit Brendon White always wanted to play football for the Buckeyes. The school is literally in his blood, as his father, William White, played defensive back for the team. The only thing that is up in the air is where he will play. Most high school recruits are lucky if they can handle one position in the college game, but White is such an amazing athlete that he can play a bunch. The early word is that White will play either wide receiver or outside linebacker at Ohio State. White prefers the former, but would have no problem shifting to the latter for more playing time. Buckeyes decision makers will not get a lot of information out of his final season at Olentangy Liberty High School, as he plays quarterback for that team. As of now, he is not slated for any defensive duties for the Patriots, though this could change in the future. 247Sports also lists White as the 13th ranked safety, indicating that he could probably play any position ably. Overall, 247Sports has White listed as a four star recruit and the 123rd ranked player on its composite listing. Weighing 195 pounds and standing 6-foot-2, White is commanding national attention beyond the Columbus area. Other schools expressed interest, but White was clear that he was a Buckeye if they would have him throughout the recruitment process. Ohio State formally offered him a spot on September 30th of 2015, and White only took two days to accept. "It was a dream come true" said White, talking to reporters after he announced his decision. Wide receiver remains the young recruit's first choice, and his offseason workouts are designed with it in mind. Much is still in the air with White's college career, but his uniform is set in stone.
