Jonathon Cooper of Lincoln Gahanna High School


Jonathan Cooper became an early commit for the Ohio State Buckeye 2016 recruiting class this weekend when he joined a growing class of 4. The outside linebacker from Lincoln Gahanna is considered the 8th best in the country according to and a four star prospect. He could play defensive end at OSU if not Linebacker. Committed to the Buckeyes at the Rutgers game but waited until his season ended to make the announcement.

Early 2016 Commitment for Ohio State - Kierre Hawkins


Kierre Hawkins, a 2016 Maple Heights tight end prospect, visited the Buckeyes this past weekend for the Rutgers game after committing to next years class. Hawkins became the third member of OSU’s 2016 class shortly before playing East Cleveland Shaw Friday night. A 6’4” 210 lbs athlete impressed on both sides of the football in High School and now will take his skills to to Columbus for college.

There he will be able to utilize his talents in different facets of the game. He has the ability to play any position and it will be interesting how the coaches use his skills.

Mickey Mitchell Re-Commits To The Buckeyes

Mickey Mitchell is set play for the Buckeyes again this season. Mitchell is a four-star 2015 forward who comes from Plano,Texas and he has recently made a second commitment to the Ohio State Basketball team.

Mickey initially signed-up for the Buckeyes last August, but left last month after his brother Mike, a footballer for Ohio State accepted a transfer to Texas Tech.

Mickey Mitchell announced his latest commitment to the Buckeyes on his public Twitter account.

Mickey Mitchell has changed his mind in committing to play basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Brother of Mike Mitchell who was linebacker for the Buckeyes, Mickey Mitchell seemed sure to leave the Buckeyes when his brother exited Ohio State football after his freshman year. Thad Matta, coach at Ohio State, had felt Mickey Mitchell would stay through 2015.

Mickey Mitchell was ranked 20th by for 2015. He announced the change from the Buckeyes via Twitter. Brother Mike signed with Texas Tech this year. That college is closer to the Mitchells' home near Dallas, Texas.

Kansas tight end Josh Moore has become the latest player to be wooed by Urban Meyer, and has pledged to join Ohio State's impressive 2015 recruiting class.

Moore gave his verbal commitment to the scarlet and gray at the school's Friday Night Lights event, confirming reports in recruiting circles that he was a long time Buckeyes lean. Still a little light for college football but has plenty of time before he arrives in Columbus for the 2015 season.
