2008 Ohio State Recruit Set to Transfer to UCLA

Ohio State redshirt freshman Willie Mobley has decided to leave the Buckeyes and enroll at UCLA. Mobley, a 6’3” defensive lineman out of Minnesota, claims it has nothing to do with football. “It had nothing to do with football or my family,” said Mobley. “I just wasn’t happy and it was affecting my play. It was a personal thing.” His mother did recently move out to Los Angeles.

Mobley suffered an injury to his wrist last season and was practicing with third team this fall. UCLA was one of the schools who had offered him a scholarship out of high school. He will have to sit out the season, and will then have three years of eligibility remaining. He claims he is leaving on good terms and that the Ohio State coaching staff has wished him well on his transfer.
