Florida State Point Guard Transfer CJ Walker Commits To Buckeyes

Chris Holtmann includes Point Guard Transfer in the Ohio State Team.

Chris Holtmann bagged an enrollment from the Florida State point guard transfer CJ Walker.

On Twitter, Walker declared:

"I have made a decision with my family, and am pleased to say that I will be joining the Ohio State program!"

Walker, who is six foot one inches tall, will need to forgo the next season.

On average, Walker scored 2.5 assists and 8.5 points at Florida State during the previous season. The Seminoles reached the Top Eight.

Last season, he achieved a career best, with a twenty-four point match versus Rutgers. He completed ten of eleven free throws with three assists, along with a career best four steals as Florida State claimed victory.

Walker had a 4.9 point per game average while he was a Freshman. He won the award for Sixth Player of the Year as a Boom Squad member, at the Honorary Florida State Basketball Banquet in 2017. Also during that year, he was listed on the ACC roll for academic achievement.

Walker hails from Indianapolis and went to Arsenal Technical High School. In his senior year, he received a nomination to play in the All American McDonald's match.

Under Holtmann, Ohio State have completed a fantastic 2017/18 season, where they achieved an overall record of 25/9. This included a Big Ten record of 15/3.
