Over the weekend, Antonio Williams from New London North Carolina selected the Ohio State Buckeyes to commit to for the 2016 recruiting class. He came to Columbus to watch the Buckeyes night game against Penn State along with a teammate and his father. The 5’11” 210 lbs. running back was recruited by Tony Alford after de-committing to the Wisconsin Badgers earlier in the process.

Coach Alford had contacted Williams while he was still at Notre Dame and renewed the relationship when Williams opened up his recruitment.

Williams is a standout in the 2016 class, being ranked the 5th best running back in the country by several recruiting services.

He liked his time at Ohio State including meeting the coaches and Urban Meyer.

Becoming the 19th member of the class puts OSU’s class at the top of the rankings for the year.
