Isaiah Prince Goes For The National Champs

Offensive Tackle Isaiah Prince signed with the Ohio State Buckeyes on National Letter of Intent Signing day this past week instead of Alabama. He visited Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes near of the end of January, right after committing to Nick Saban at Alabama. The visit went well and his desire to go to Alabama faded, leading him to join the OSU class for 2015. He’s a 6’6” 270lbs tackle from Greenbelt Maryland that is considered a top ten recruit nationally at his position.

Three weekends and three visits led to the final signing day announcement, as he followed up his Columbus visit with a visit to Maryland. Prince had been in camp at Ohio State over the summer to see the campus and meat with the coaches. Ed Warinner and Larry Johnson recruited him.

An Army All American, he was rated the 105th best prospect nationally among all positions. Possibly a couple of years away from starting for the Buckeyes, but they have had two large classes on the offensive line and can wait a little bit.
