The Naples High School offensive tackle prospect Nick Alajajian is
committed to the University of Florida and is working hard to win a second state
championship before he leaves for Gainesville.
At 6’4” and 280 lbs, the Rivals 5 star recruit has dominated defensive lineman
two seasons straight.

Hoping to repeat as State
Champions, Naples
is off to a good start. Alajajian mentioned last year’s state title was the
highlight of his time in High School to this point. “The highlight of my high
school career was winning a state championship and going 15-0.”
To be a 5 star high school recruit,
a player has to dominate the opponents at his level and that is what Alajajian
has done. “Through 4 games this season I am at about 50 pancake blocks.” He
explained about taking down defensive lineman and opening up holes in the line
for his teammates.
Looking Around
There have been rumors that
Alajajian is considering other schools after committing to Florida
in July as UF’s offensive line coach is being considered for the head coaching
position at Syracuse.
“I am committed to UF.” He told us when we spoke with him recently and what he
told reporters when he was invited to play in the Army All-American Bowl two
weeks ago.
Over 40 Offers
Alajajian had his pick of schools
with over 40 offers and took a serious look at six different programs before
selecting Florida.
“I had over 40 offers. Miami,
FSU, UF, UGA, LSU, and Clemson were the main ones I looked at.” He was looking
for quality coaching and a good relationship with the coaching staff when he
made his declaration. “I was looking for
good coaching and a good relationship with my coaches.” He explained about why
he committed to the Gators.
A somewhat frequent visitor of
Gainesville, he
loves the atmosphere and the coaches ability to achieve greatness on the field.
“I love the Swamp and the coaches and their work ethic there.” He said.
