Film: Frank Epitropoulos 2010 Highlights

By Steve Patterson

Ranked 32nd in the State of Ohio for 2012, we asked Frank Epitropoulos recently about what sets him apart on the field. “I believe my best attributes as a player are working hard in the off-season and being a leader on the field.” And the best moment so far as an Upper Arlington Golden Bear? “The highlight so far [of my high school career] would be our first game against Tri-Valley when I caught the game winning touchdown with 7 seconds left.” he told us.

He mentioned only two planned college visits when we asked him recently. “The only college visits I have planed as of now are Michigan State and Wisconsin. I could potentially add more if more offers come in.” But two unplanned visits to Ohio State have earned him a scholarship with the Buckeyes and provided him the opportunity to speak with the coaches. On the most recent visit he spoke with new receivers coach Stan Drayton.

Epitropoulos is looking for great academics and football. “When looking at a college, I look for a school that has great academics along with a great football program. This involves great tradition along with excellent fan support.” he explained. And he is still wide open as far as a college selection is concerned. “As of now, I do not have a favorite school.”
