The Buckeyes are going to have another four-start prospect in 2016, and that prospect is none other than Luke Farrell.

In the past it looked inevitable, and apparently it was because it is now official, Farrell is a Buckeye. Farrell committed to Ohio State at Ohio Stadium, at its Friday Night Lights camp. The player did have other offers, which included Wisconsin, Duke and Nebraska.

As for where Farrell ranks, he ranks as the 7th tight end in the country, as well as the 158th overall prospect, and this means that Ohio State has three of the top 15 tight ends in the nation. Some of the top prospects that have committed also include Jake Hausmann and Kierre Hawkins. Hawkins spoke about Farrell, saying that the school views Farrell as a Noah Brown-style 'H' and that sentiment was referenced back when Farrell spoke about Ohio State in June.

When Farrell spoke in June, he said that he has been to Ohio State plenty of times, and he said that he has a good feel of the program. He added that he and the coaches have a good relationship and that he likes the school a lot. He also said that he wasn't bothered about two other tight ends who have committed and he said that Kierre is more of an H-back. Farrell said that Ohio State has proven what they can achieve with two tight ends.
