Ohio State Gets 4-Star Wide Receiver AJ Alexander

AJ Alexander

AJ Alexander is a highly touted prospect from Virginia who had the luxury of choosing from over twenty football scholarship offers for his college career. The #53-ranked wide receiver captured the interest of Miami, Rutgers, Purdue, Penn State, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Boston, and many more thanks to his impressive stats.

The front runners in the AJ Alexander derby were the Cornhuskers, the Badgers, and the Buckeyes. Most people predicted that he would end up with Wisconsin but he chose eventually Ohio State. There he will be able to utilize his talents in different facets of the game. He has the ability to play any position and it will be interesting how the coaches use his skills.

Larry Johnson, the defensive line coach of the Buckeyes football team, was his main recruiter. Alexander informed Johnson of his plan to visit the campus just this previous week. This has been scheduled on September 27th -- the date of an important home game against Cincinnati.

Once he officially signs up with Ohio, he will join several players from Virginia who have transferred to the state to play for the Buckeyes. The coaching staff has made it a mission to get the best players from VA. This has resulted in the signing of 4-star defensive specialist Jalyn Holmes and other notable student athletes.

AJ Alexander will provide coaches with an impressive variety of skills that few players possess. If they are able to maximize these and develop him to his full potential, then he will become a dangerous operator that will give other teams a lot of headaches.
