Carlton Davis Promises To Play For Ohio State

Carlton Davis

Miami's safety Carlton Davis expressed his desire to play for Ohio State: Ohio State received great news after losing a top prospect to an injury. This news gave them some necessary relief after this very unfortunate incident.

Carlton Davis expressed his desire to play for Ohio State on 560 AM in Miami. Ryan Bartow from 247Sports and Scout's Corey Bender were the first reporters to reveal this outstanding news. Marc Gilver confirmed Davis' statements after speaking with him off the air. This talented high school player made a surprising commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes team.

Carlton Davis has a three-star status in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also holds the 97th position on Florida's best player list. Since Miami is his hometown, the pros on 247Sports believed he would choose a team in Miami. Little did they know, Carlton Davis had several offers from notable teams including Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.

At present, Ohio state did not openly respond to the commitment Carlton Davis made on the air. The Buckeye's co-defensive coordinator Chris Ash received his commitment, but he did not make a final decision yet. Carlton Davis confirmed that he was still waiting for an answer when he told South Florida High School Sports.com that his "recruiting is still open".

Carlton Davis will replace Ben Edwards if Chris Ash accepts his commitment. Ben Edwards decided to commit to Auburn instead of Ohio State. He changed his mind later on, but Carlton Davis was already on the radar when Ben Edwards expressed his interest in Ohio State again.
