DT Jonathan Hankins Gets Ohio State Offer for 2010

Defensive Tackle Jonathan Hankins gets an offer from Ohio State early in the recruiting process. The 6’3” 320lbs lineman from Southeastern Detroit has offers from a number of good programs across the country including Minnesota, Oklahoma, Virginia and Wisconsin. Currently he doesn’t favor one particular program but likes Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Virginia.

Southeastern Detroit

Jonathan Hankins is a member of one of the best programs in the country at Southeastern Detroit and a hot bed of recruiting talent over the years. As the anchor of the successful defensive line, recruiting has heated up for Hankins during his senior season. Southeastern has only allowed 7 points in their first 3 games and Hankins has 15 tackles with three forced fumbles even though he rests most 2nd halves when his high school gets  a substantial lead on the opposition.

College Visits

He skipped a visit to Virginia early in the college season as he needed to take his ACT test. But he does have a late December visit planned to Columbus to see the campus at Ohio State and meet the Buckeye coaching staff. This will be his second trip to Ohio State as he was on the sideline for the USC game September 12th. The game atmosphere impressed Hankins and moved OSU into his top three college choices.
