Some had worried that Michigan would be able to flip Mike Weber back to the Wolverines before National Letter of Intent signing day this past week. Buck Weber signed with Ohio State and is a part of their 2015 class. The class finished in the top 10 nationally and features two possible running backs, Weber, Eric Glover-Williams.
The hiring of Jim Harbaugh as the new Michigan head coach had some worried that the Wolverines could get the in-state tailback to re-commit to UM. But in the end, Weber stuck with his most recent commitment to Urban Meyer and Stan Drayton. He had talked to both coaches on the morning of his signing and felt that he belonged in Columbus with the Buckeyes. Weber is a 4 star recruit, the 9th best running back in the country according to 247 sports, and the 78th best member of the 2015 class.
Urban Meyer had a pretty good day getting Weber along with two prior Alabama commits, OT Isaiah Prince and wide receiver KJ Hill. The Buckeyes also kept a couple of recruits that had waivered a little, quarterback Torrance Gibson and defensive tackle Joshua Alabi.
