OG Matthew Burrell Relaxes With Ohio State Commitment

MatthewBurrell

Woodbridge Virginia 2015 offensive tackle felt like a weight was off his shoulders when he made a commitment to Urban Meyer and the OSU Buckeyes. He picked Ohio State over Penn State, Tennessee and LSU. He went with his gut as he really liked the coaches and academics the Buckeyes offered.

Coach Zach Smith has been recruiting Burrell since he was a sophomore and Urban Meyer has been in contact whenever possible. He views Meyer as a legendary coach who takes great pride in the current Ohio State team. Burrell was able to focus on his senior year once the decision had been made.

He is a great student in addition to being the 10th best guard in the country and a top 150 prospect for 2015. He was the 21st member of the class, 11th from out of state, and the 2nd from Virginia.
