OL Timothy Gardner Commits to Ohio State

The OSU Buckeye recruiting class for 2013 received a new commitment over the last weekend in July in offensive lineman Timothy Gardner. Out of Indianapolis IN Lawrence Central, Gardner is a massive lineman at 6’5” 340lbs. He committed to Ohio State and Urban Meyer over such teams as Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue and Toledo. Considered a 3 star recruit by Rivals.com, Gardner is somewhat of a under-the-radar recruit. He is the 16th player for the 2013 class that could reach 23-25 recruits.

Gardner was discovered on the Ohio State campus at a Friday Night Lights camp a couple of days prior to his commitment. He was so impressive at the camp that the coaching staff gave him an offer. This was his second good camp on the OSU campus, also attending the June summer camp and showing great ability on the line. There is a need on the offensive line in 2013 and the Buckeyes currently only have one other recruit, Evan Lisle, in the class.
